Yes. Neo is built for accurate, dependable homework help, using leading AI models and multiple layers of verification throughout each session. It checks the student's visible work before approving an answer and performs a separate final review before marking a worksheet complete.

No AI is perfect, so important work should still be checked with a teacher, textbook, or another reliable source. If something seems wrong, long-press the tutor's message to report it.

Neo is designed with children's privacy in mind. It doesn't sell personal information, doesn't show ads, and doesn't track students across other companies' apps or websites. Tutoring content isn't used to train Neo's AI models, and Neo picks providers whose terms say the same. Neo is designed to meet COPPA standards.

The tutor is scoped to age-appropriate homework help and steers away from unsafe, adult, or off-topic requests. Behind that sits an additional filter for harassment, hate, sexual and dangerous content. Parent settings are PIN-protected, and a student under 13 can't begin tutoring until a parent or guardian completes approval. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Neo collects the account and student profile information needed to run the app, plus parent-approval records when required. During tutoring, it processes voice, messages, homework images, drawings, answers, and visible board work so the tutor can respond.

Saved homework and learning progress sync to Neo's private cloud; session replays stay on the iPad. Neo also collects limited, content-free product and reliability data. Yes. Open the Parent or Profile tab → More Settings → Help & Legal. Export My Data creates a portable JSON copy of core cloud profile, progress, prize, session summary, activity, and homework list data. Cloud-saved homework pages restore separately after sign-in; session replays stay on that iPad.

Delete Account permanently removes the account, linked cloud learning data, and identified feedback or reports. Limited non-content safety markers and temporary provider or backup records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion cannot be undone and does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Neo is designed to notice potential safety concerns or meaningful signs that a child may be struggling, including danger, self-harm, violence, serious distress, loneliness, sadness, bullying, or other struggles a parent may want to know about. When this happens on a parent-managed profile, Neo emails the parent with the concerning statement and adds a “Heads Up” message in the PIN-protected Parent tab, where a link to the session replay is available when that session is saved on the iPad. The tutor also encourages the child to talk with a trusted adult and seek appropriate help.

This feature provides an additional signal—not a diagnosis, emergency service, or complete review of everything a child says. Neo errs on the side of alerting, so it may miss or misunderstand something, or flag something that did not require concern. If you’re concerned, check in with your child promptly and contact appropriate emergency or crisis support when needed.

Neo is scoped to age-appropriate homework help. The tutor's system prompt explicitly tells it to stay on topic and redirect unsafe, adult, or age-inappropriate requests. The AI providers also apply their own safety systems, but no safeguard catches everything.

AI isn't perfect, though. If the tutor still says something wrong or off, hold (long-press) any tutor message in the chat transcript. A report sheet slides up — pick a reason (inappropriate, wrong answer, rude, confusing, or other), add an optional note, and submit. We get an email for every report and review them.

Parent-managed profiles show progress in the PIN-protected Parent tab; self-managed accounts use the Profile tab without a Parent PIN. Free shows homework completed this week, streaks, and stars. Prize controls are available only in parent-managed profiles.

Pro and Family add topic-level skill breakdowns, accuracy and progress trends, grade-level assessment, and saved session replays with transcripts on that iPad.

Students earn 10 stars for each homework they finish and spend them on prizes in the Prize Box. Parent-managed learners default to digital prizes. Parents can choose digital prizes, no prizes, or real-world prizes in the Parent tab. With no prizes, the Prize tab is hidden and stars simply record progress. Self-managed learners do not have prizes.

Real-world prizes are optional and off by default. The account owner sets a monthly tracking budget and is responsible for choosing, buying, delivering, and checking each prize's safety; Neo doesn't provide or pay for physical prizes.

Yes, with Family. One parent account can manage up to six student profiles, each with their own grade, tutor, stars, progress, and prize budget. Free and Pro support one accessible profile.

If Family ends, every profile stays saved. The selected profile remains accessible and the others stay locked until Family is restored; Neo never deletes them because of a plan change.

Every student gets Neo's full tutoring experience — all eight tutors, broad homework coverage, voice + chalkboard help, homework photo capture, and prizes.

Ending or downgrading a paid plan does not delete stars, problem history, prizes, or student profiles. When an account returns to Free, the selected profile stays accessible with 10 tutoring minutes per day; other profiles stay saved but locked.

Pro and Family restore detailed insights and saved session replays. Family restores access to up to six profiles. Tutoring time already used that day still counts after a plan change.
